The new character is supposed to be a rhubarb. Last time I bought some to make a pie, the supermarket cashier asked me what it was. I guess rhubarb is quite an unpopular vegetable because it is mostly used for pie filling. I looked up rhubarb in wikipedia and I was surprised to know that it originally came from China. I have never seen such vegetable in Hong Kong, in which the city I grew up. By the way, rhubarb in Chinese is 大黄。

Well this strip is based on a story from a friend of mine who used to work for Starbucks. He said that people get an extra cup just to “steal” milk and cream. The management knew about it but they could not tell their customer to stop.
