That is absolutely adorable…I honestly can’t tell though. Is that Pearl’s mom or dad? Kinda seems like a very mom way to act but I can’t tell based on the character design. I like this one though, I too have named food (if Chloroville has cookies and stuff I wonder how they handle foods like Carrot Cake and Cornbread :p)
Thanks for asking such important question – does Chloroville have carrot cake and cornbread? Now I would say no. Actually, when I first started creating Chloroville I didn’t think thoroughly or carefully about such things. That’s why we have comic strip number 3 and number 5, which I regret creating them. Strip 48 is better – I intentionally made it very vague to the readers what kind of ingredients Jon-Jon is using for his sandwich.
Basically the citizens of Chloroville don’t know what we know about them – Jon-Jon would not think of him as a red bell pepper (by the way, a few people have asked me what Jon-Jon is supposed to be) and Dee as a broccoli. They only know they look different but topics such as species, race, reproduction, birth will *probably* never be discussed.
And also, don’t think too deeply – in the next two strips milk and cream will become the topic but does that mean Chloroville have cows? Not necessarily, but I only know that they have things called milk and cream.
Also I forgot to say this earlier. I know it’s one day late but…Happy Birthday Chloroville. You have climbed the stairway to maturity over this past year and taught us many things. That strawberries make sexy actresses, that jell-o exists in space, that the dip is incredibly incredibly dangerous, and that stupid cake isn’t stupid if you don’t sit on it. You have done many a great things over this past year Chloroville…and I salute you
It’s nice to see her return, and does this mean beetbeet will also be coming up next (I think I got the name right)?
aww, i missed pearl! Shes A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E! keep up the amazing work

I’m thinking by the body language/posture that is Pearl’s mom.
