This strip is just for fun only, I never condone alcohol drinking. Occasionally and annually I will have a beer or a glass of red wine at some social gatherings, and that’s all. One particular ex-coworker of mine drinks a lot, every time I look at him, all I can see is his beer-infused fat arms and pot-belly, and “liver failure” in his face. I am over-weight and I know I am not in good shape, but his drinking habit is really destroying him and accelerating his body failure.

I study alcohol a lot, learning how to mix drinks and stuff, but I never drink the stuff. I wonder what Beatrice is drinking. Apple martini perhaps?
J.C., Probably a blueberry martini? I don’t drink so I actually have no idea how many types of martini are out there.
There are more types of martinis than you can shake a stick at, chocolate, watermelon, all sorts.

I really enjoy your comic strip, but I don’t think it’s fair to say things about someone with a drinking problem. Just because you don’t drink and you don’t understand it, doesn’t mean that you can’t be supportive. There’s obviously something going on in your ex-coworkers life that you just don’t get There’s no need to be rude. It’s an illness, not a choice.

Sorry, I might be a little rude with my comments on my ex-coworker’s drinking habit. I did tell him that I think he’s marginally alcoholic. He once told me that he felt some pain with his body which could be related to drinking too much beer. I advised him to drink less and he agreed. I think he definitely can chose to drink less.
I like Beatrice’s outfit. The bow is a nice touch
