Chloroville

This strip had gone through many revisions, and eventually I settled with the “not funny” one, according to my editor, Jey. In the original strip there were only three frames, and the dialogues went like this:

Frame 1
Dee: Want to Try This Place?
Jon-Jon: Yes!

Frame 2
Jon-Jon: Wow that waiter’s jacket is really shiny!
Dee: Hmm… It’s not a waiter, it’s a cockroach…
Jon-Jon: And it’s fat…

Frame 3
Mr. Ginger: How many people, sir?
Jon-Jon: Just two of us.
Mr. Ginger: Sorry, but you there will be a 30 minute wait.
Jon-Jon: No problem! But I can’t wait to try the food!

I showed this to my friends and none of them understood what’s going on. I put the strip away in the slow cooker and then one day I was chit-chatting with my coworker Byron and he said that baby corns freaked him out (and all kinds of baby vegetables). I thought it was funny so I just used it for this strip.
